The University of Nebraska Medical Center Whiplash Program
Victims of whiplash trauma may suffer debilitating chronic symptoms that do not improve with conservative treatment or spine surgery. In those cases, the problems are often described as the result of 'soft tissue injury'. This website will provide you with information about our surgical treatment program for such injuries. The program is designed to address a variety of problems that can stem from whiplash, including pain, dizziness, headaches, neck and back pain, numbness, tingling, muscle weakness, light sensitivity, fatigue and depression.
Patients, physicians and insurance companies in the United States and abroad have benefited from the University of Nebraska Medical Center Whiplash Program, and from results that have lead to continued referrals for evaluation and care. Since the program was established in 2003, Dr Ake Nystrom has helped patients from across the United States and Canada, and more than three hundred patients from seven European countries, have confirmed lasting relief from our treatment for whiplash related pain.
