Does a career in clinical perfusion sound like it might be for you? If so, here's an overview of the coursework you'll need to get you on the path.

High School
Get a jump start in high school. Take courses in science, mathematics and chemistry.



College
Before you enroll in the Clinical Perfusion Education Program, you'll need to obtain a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. Here's a list of mandatory college courses you'll need to take:

Biology - General Biology 6 semester hours
Anatomy and Physiology 6 semester hours
English - Composition, Writing, etc. 6 semester hours
Chemistry - General Chemistry 6 semester hours
Mathematics - Pre-Calculus or Calculus 3 semester hours
Physics - General Physics 3 semester hours
Social Education - Sociology, Psychology or Philosophy 6 semester hours



Professional Education
Clinical perfusion programs are generally one to four years in length, depending on the program design, objectives, prerequisites and student qualifications. Programs include didactic instruction and clinical experience requiring performance of a variety of highly technical circulation procedures.

Financial Aid Options
