Where do they work?
There are six major areas of the laboratory in which clinical laboratory scientists may work:

Blood Bank
Chemistry
Hematology
Microbiology
Immunology
Molecular Diagnostics

They can also work in specialty labs such as:

Many clinical laboratory scientists work in hospital laboratories and clinics. They also work in:

Here are some additional areas of practice available to clinical laboratory scientists:
