What's your future potential?
If you become a physician assistant, you will have a variety of opportunities for employment. Physicians and institutions are expected to employ more PAs to provide primary care and assist with medical and surgical procedures.
Family medicine is still the main area of practice for PAs; however, the number of positions in specialty areas such as sports medicine and pediatrics are growing. Also, there are a number of opportunities for PAs in underserved areas such as rural and inner city clinics.
