I would be interested if any of you know of any required or recommended building designs for clinical and academic offices that would either facilitate or hinder interdisciplinary and technological training of both medical students and family practice residents for rural community medical practice. The Rural Medical Scholars Program in the Department of Community and Rural Medicine seeks to prepare 10 rural students yearly for rural practice in the context of a clinical branch campus of medical school and a FM Residency. We are planning a new building to bring all components together. Thanks for your help.

John we are embarking on a building project that will include our family practice center the med students and nursing student as well as house our rural health administrative structure. It is a 6.5 million project. Is that what you are looking at ? We also have constructed a multidisciplinary rural traing site ( about $1,000,000) we would be happy to share information with you on either of these project if you desire. Our web site www.mcrh.org has some information re the rural site
