I am pleased to announce the following web page, posted by permission from Family Medicine and STFM.
Many of you know Joe Hobbs in many different positions. He is a past STFM President and he has worked to develop a great preceptorship network. The following posting is a 1997 President's Column that he wrote. I keep a copy of this on my wall for motivation and reference. It is a great testament to the value of rural preceptors and also what a rural visit truly should involve.
Check it out at http://www.unmc.edu/Community/ruralmeded/facil/research/authors/Hobbs_Invisible.htm
I was also very impressed at the help of STFM and Traci Nolte to make suchworks available to others.
