It is clear that we are trying to find the person behind the academic
numbers, the people that are service oriented and with a rural background.
To reiterate, since our first graduating class of 1976, more than 50% of all
alumni have selected Family Medicine as a specialty. In terms of practice
location, again for all students, the figures are:

22.7% practice in communities smaller than 7500
42.6% practice in communities smaller than 20000
56.8% practice in communities smaller than 50000

We are all very proud of these outcomes.
