An infectious disease specialist who trained at the University of Florida and also did a special leadership development program while there that has had impact at several medical schools.
He was the preacher who "married" UNMC to rural communities. This act and the improved admissions that followed is the single most important part of the following award to UNMC. NRHA Outstanding Rural Health Program Award 2001
He moved from UNMC to AAMC in DC and was continuing in his efforts in primary care and embracing community needs but died soon after due to cancer.
