Debt and Medical Missionaries

The number 1 reason why students have difficulty getting loans so that they can go into medical school is debt, usually credit card.

One of the top reasons for failure of professed medical missionaries is debt. Many if not most missionary organizations require debt to be cared for before sending a physician away.

Some simple advice:

Live on half of what you are told you should have for living expenses.

Have a plan to take care of debt.

Perhaps you might be able to live in the basement or extra bedroom of a Christian Physician who is a faculty member, at reduced or no rent!

Avoid the entanglements of the world. Seek support and fellowship so that you are grounded in your mission to serve Christ overseas.
