Histology Facilities

The histology unit, directed by Dr. Parviz Pour, processes much of the histological material for the center's grant-supported projects on carcinogenesis and chemoprevention. The faculty has expanded its procedures and included preparation of immunohistochemical material and gold-labeled antibodies for EM studies. They also are in the process of developing in situ hybridization techniques.
