Training Requirements

UNMC must meet certain training requirements in order to be in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. A list of the compliance requirements are listed below.

Compliance Training

The regulations require that members of the workforce be trained on a variety of topics. UNMC has developed many training programs available through the UNMC Intranet to meet these requirements.

Each unit and/or department has a Compliance Training Coordinator who is responsible for assigning and monitoring compliance training requirements for faculty, staff and students in their area.

Instructions to Access Compliance Training

Please follow the instructions below to log into Employee Self Service (Med Center) ESS and complete any outstanding compliance training requirements.

1. Open your internet browser.

   Employees type the URL http://net.unmc.edu/eserv
   Students type the URL http://net.unmc.edu/care

2. Login using your UNMC Net ID and internet password.
3. Employees Click on My Records. Under Training & Certification click My Requirements
   Students Click Training
4. A listing of your Training & Certification courses will appear. The Assigned Date and Deadline Date are shown for all compliance training that needs to be completed. Requirements that have been successfully completed will also list the Completed Date and Valid To Date.
5. Click on the name of a training requirement to be completed.
6. You will be prompted to log into Blackboard using the same User ID and Password above.
7. Once you are logged into Blackboard, click on the Courses Tab. You will see the list of courses you are enrolled in. Click the name of the course you need to complete. Follow the instructions to view the course materials and complete the appropriate tests. Each test has a minimum score to successfully complete the requirement.
8. Remember to click Save & Submit to finalize your test.
