Cultural competence requires that we acquire relevant knowledge and develop skills that help us to communicate and work more effectively with individuals who are culturally diverse. This training has two tracts. One for any one who works in a patient care setting and one for any one who works in an office, laboratory or other area that is not directly involved in patient care.
