The Department of Healthcare Epidemiology provides services to University of Nebraska Medical Center to serve the needs of the organization.  Development of policies and procedures in order to comply with various regulatory demands, assessing compliance, providing education, and serving as an infection control resource to the UNMC community are some of the services provided through the Department of Healthcare Epidemiology.

Dr. Mark E. Rupp, M.D. is the Hospital Epidemiologist and Medical Director in charge of the Department of Healthcare Epidemiology.  He can be reached by phone at 559-5276.
