Course offerings are subject to change based on instructor availability, enrollment, and technology. All DAO courses are offered at least once each academic year (August–August).

Academic Progress

Students enrolled in the BSRST Degree Advancement Option are expected to make satisfactory academic progress toward the completion of their Individual Plan of Study and degree requirements.  All courses must be passed with a grade of “C” or better and a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) must be maintained throughout enrollment in the program.  Courses may be repeated only once, and a cumulative GPA below 2.0 at the completion of any semester will result in dismissal from the program.

Degree Completion

Upon completion of the Individual Plan of Study, students will receive notification of completion from the BSRST Degree Advancement Option and a certificate from the CCE listing total credit hours completed.  Diploma and graduation information will be provided by the UNMC Student Services Office.  Students must be awarded a minimum of 120 total semester hours of college credit (UNMC courses + transfer credit + certification credit) by the UNMC Office of Academic Records in order to be eligible to graduate from UNMC.  Diplomas are issued three times each year - May, August and December - dependent upon the student's completion of all requirements by the deadline dates set by the Program.  Graduates of the BSRST DAO are welcome to participate in the graduation ceremonies in Omaha, Nebraska (May and December only) if they can.

You may obtain your UNMC transcripts only after the diploma date.  If an individual leaves the program prior to completion, their coursework will not be processed through the Office of Academic Records.  He/she will receive a certificate from the CCE listing only the number of credit hours completed for continuing education (AMA category 1).

Continuing Education

For the purpose of reporting continuing education activity to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), DCO courses awarded continuing education credit (AMA category 1) by the CCE qualify as ARRT category B credit.  Upon completion of the BS degree and receipt of an official UNMC transcript, course activity meets the definition of an Approved Academic Course and qualifies as ARRT category A credit.  Your biennium period should be considered when determining whether or not to submit coursework for category A or B, as you must have the appropriate documentation of the activity.
