School of Allied Health Professions Professionalism Ceremony

The 2014 All-school Professionalism Ceremony will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 in the Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education (MSC)

Schedule of Events:
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Ceremonies for PA, CLS, Cyto/Perfusion/Med Nutrition & RSTE
2:30 PM – 3:30 PM Ceremony for PT
Reception and Self-Guided Tours from 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM.

Professional dress required.

This is a rite of passage for students in the School of Allied Health Professions to begin their professional program or clinical encounters with patients. The ceremony focuses on professionalism, encompassing the concepts of ethical behavior, compassionate care, and service to others. As students are given their pins or first white coat during this ceremony, it is a reminder of the high standards to which each student is expected to maintain in the care of patients.
