This is a rite of passage for students in the School of Allied Health Professions to begin their professional program or clinical encounters with patients. The ceremony focuses on professionalism, encompassing the concepts of ethical behavior, compassionate care, and service to others. As students are given their pins or first white coat during this ceremony, it is a reminder of the high standards to which each student is expected to maintain in the care of patients.
