Research Experience:
Visiting Scientist: University of Cincinnati (July-Sept. 2005)
Working on the oxidative stress induced by pyocyanin in A549 and HBE cells.
The study includes the study of expression of Glutathione (total and mitochondrial), HO-1, Thioredoxin, and HIF-1alpha.

Visiting Scientist: University of Iowa (June-Aug. 2006)
Working on 2-deoxyglucose-induced sensitization to p53 induced cell death in prostate cancer cells.

Visiting Scientist: University of Iowa (June-Aug. 2007)
Working on radiation therapy, metabolic oxidative stress, and cancer biology project.

Visiting Scientist: University of Iowa (June-Aug. 2008)
Working on cancer therapy related projects that involve imaging responses to 2-deoxyglucose-induced radiosensitization and radiation-induced genomic instability.

Research Responsibilities:
Conduct research in ongoing redox biology studies using state-of-the art techniques to measure levels of antioxidants and oxidants in biological samples; involved in designing and optimizing experimental protocols; and writing collaborative research grants.
