The Computed Tomography (CT) Practicum at UNMC offers students the opportunity to obtain classroom and clinical experience related directly to computed tomography.

Candidates for the CT Practicum must have completed an accredited radiography program, be ARRT certified and registered in Radiography, and in good standing with the ARRT. The course of study involves didactic classes in CT Protocols and Cross Sectional Anatomy, CT Physics, and clinical rotations where students gain practical experience in the CT field.

Upon completion of the one-semester curriculum, participants have the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skill base in CT along with the exam requirements needed to be eligible to sit for the CT Certification Examinations offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

"CT is interesting to me and stimulates my thinking. I enjoy interacting with patients everyday and doing my best to meet each patient's needs."
- Rachel Kettelhake, CT program, Class of 2014

"The UNMC CT Program allowed me the opportunity to receive a great education while being a distance student at the same time. The clinical hours provided exquisite hands on experience." - Macey Fuhr, CT Class of 2014
