We are very proud to announce our second in a three part series of on-line educational opportunities by Clinical Perfusion Education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), our Application of Clinical Proteomics. Our program is open to anyone interested in the fresh new science of therapeutic clinical proteomics. Our studies of proteins include that of "The Protein Revolution," biochemistry of concentrates, regenerative medicine, stem cell physiology, BMAC, wound healing, devices, quality, training issues, etc. A complete list of the curriculum is on our web site. Our distance-delivered curriculum is designed for the experienced Perfusionist, the new-graduate Perfusionist, and other health care professionals or those in the product support sectors. We utilize synchronous and asynchronous tools to bring the ultimate in flexibility for your busy lifestyle and schedule.
There are three eight-hour days that include a comfortable mix of synchronous and asynchronous classroom activities to be enjoyed from the comforts of the location of YOUR choice. The sessions are offered on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. There are brief live sessions each morning (15-30 min), then Saturday a three-hour media rich "fireside chat" with live interaction between UNMC faculty and staff and the course participants. The sessions can be completed without even taking a day off work!
Our program includes a pre-test and post test, the results of which are known to nobody but yourself.
Our clinical proteomics course is designed by practicing Clinical Perfusionists as part of a comprehensive graduate school curriculum. It is tailored with information of interest for Perfusionists, but can be done by anybody with an interest in the science. The latest literature is included in the development of the program. It is distance-delivered so an individual commitment is necessary for success. The course includes the workbook and the web-interface educational platform. Your point award is based on your participation.
Soon to be attached to our website is a list of FAQ's that we respond to with this course. You may review the FAQ's for the Extracorporeal Technology Review (ETR) course which addresses some of the fundamental questions and technical questions. Both of these courses are constructed in similar format. Our "live" communication is accomplished with a conference call and a web connection. You click on a link and see a computer controlled by the speaker while actively speaking to him/her and or the other registrants. We are currently scheduling "live" info and Q&A for a brief session each morning for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and the open discussion session Saturday from 1PM to 4 PM Central time.
The registration fee for all three days, the book, and on-line tool access is currently $800.00. Any fees associated with computer access or long distance telephone service are NOT included and is the participant's responsibility. A serialized embossed certificate from the University of Nebraska is awarded for participation.
Hurry, as seats for each offering are currently limited in this first phase of our project! Please email us for more information:
