A $45 non-refundable fee is required for processing the application materials. The following expenses for Cytotechnology Program students are estimates only. They will vary depending on specific housing arrangements, transportation, and availability of alternate health insurance, and are based on the 2005-2006 tuition rates and fees established by the Board of Regents.

Tuition

  • Resident tuition = $190/credit hour x 32 credit hours = $6,080.00
  • Non-resident tuition = $512/credit hour x 32 credit hours = $16,384.00

Fees

  • Cytotechnology Program fees = $320
  • Student Fees = $304.50
  • Miscellaneous Fees (including textbooks) = $564.00
  • Student Insurance* = $964.00

*Cytotechnology Program students must have health insurance.  This requirement can be met by purchasing a University endorsed plan, or the student can provide evidence of comparable coverage through spouse’s, employer’s, parent’s, or personal plan, in which case the fee is waived.  Also, students must have and will be charged for a TB skin test, Hepatitis B Vaccination and Titer.  If the student has recently had these three prior to beginning the program, these fees can be waived.

Students are responsible for making housing arrangements. Off-campus apartments are available within walking distance or throughout the Omaha metropolitan area. Student parking is available on campus. For additional information regarding housing options near campus and around the Omaha area, visit the Housing page of the UNMC Student Services website.

Financial Assistance:
