Computed Tomography/Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Welcome to Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)!

The Computed Tomography / Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CT/MRI) Program at UNMC offers students the opportunity to obtain classroom and clinical CT/MRI experience related directly to computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging.

Candidates for the CT/MRI Program must have completed 35 specific college prerequisites, an accredited radiography program, and be ARRT certified.  The course of study involves classes in cross sectional anatomy, physiology, CT and MRI physics, radiation biology, research methodologies, radiologic pharmacology, and clinical rotations where students gain practical experience in fast-paced, supervised, environments.

Upon completion of the 12-month combined curriculum, graduates are awarded the Bachelor Degree in Radiation Science Technology and are eligible to sit for the CT and MRI Certification Examinations offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
