  • Document 800 hours of clinical time under the supervision of your approved physician preceptor using the clerkship objectives provided as a guide.
  • Read the textbooks on Medical Ethics, Health Policy, and Scientific Writing and complete the assignments for each book.
  • Write and submit for approval a research paper on a topic of your choice.

Length of Program
Students will be given 12 months to complete all the components of the program.  One year (12 months) is the usual and customary length of time necessary to complete the course work.  Because there may be a valid need to interrupt educational activity due to extenuating circumstances (e.g., military deployment, serious illness, etc.), requests for extensions for completion of the program will be considered for an additional period up to 12 months.

Students failing to complete the Program within the period of two years will be automatically disenrolled.  Requests for re-enrollment will be considered.  If approved, additional fees will be assessed.

The curriculum outlined below is for students who plan to apply to the program after December 31, 2011.
