Radiography Program Distance Learning Option in Grand Island or Columbus Nebraska
The clinical education portion of our radiography program and the UNMC Bachelor of Science Degree in Radiation Science Technology may be completed at our clinical affiliate sites, Saint Francis Medical Center (SFMC), in Grand Island, Nebraska or Columbus Community Hospital, in Columbus, Nebraska through onsite clinical instruction and distance learning technology. Graduates of the program are eligible to apply to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for certification examination in Radiography.
Candidates for the radiography program may complete prerequisite courses at Central Community College in Grand Island or Columbus prior to enrollment in the radiography program. Once students have completed their prerequisite coursework, enrollment in the radiography program is 21 months long. Students complete radiography coursework through video teleconferencing and online. Clinical instruction is provided in the affiliated radiology department under the supervision and instruction of a clinical instructor.
