Do you need information to guide decisions about your health or the health of a family member or friend? The McGoogan Library of Medicine provides such information to Nebraska residents free of charge through our Consumer Health Information Resource Service (CHIRS).
A Health Sciences Librarian will research your condition and provide a tailored package of information that may include: journal articles, book chapters, pamphlets and web resources.
For nearly 25 years, CHIRS has provided quality health information to Nebraska residents free of cost. Last year alone, more than 300 Nebraskans received individually tailored information from CHIRS’s Health Science Librarians, guiding vital health inquiries to physicians. In 2004 the National Commission of Libraries recognized CHIRS as one of the nation’s outstanding consumer information services.
Let CHIRS help you answer your questions.
