General Guidelines:
- Attendees must be present in their presentation room at least five minutes prior to the scheduled start of their section, in order to load their presentations onto the computer desktop.
- Cell phones must be kept turned off.
- Audience should avoid discussions during the presentation. Questions should be directed to the speaker during the allotted questions and answer time.
- Participants are to adhere to the dress code during the meeting and formal gatherings:
Dress Code:
Business Attire: For formal events such as presentations.
For women:
- Trousers or skirts of appropriate length may be worn with a blouse (e.g. a dress shirt/sweater), or a dress with appropriate skirt length. An appropriate skirt length for dresses or skirts is just above knee or longer.
- Formal shoes for women include closed- and open-toed shoes and shoes with heels. Flip flops/thongs and tennis/athletic shoes are not acceptable.
- Accessories, such as scarves and jewelry, should not distract from the presentation.
For men:
- Collared shirt and trousers should be worn, and ties are encouraged. A blazer or business jacket may be added.
- Formal shoes for men are closed toe and may be slip on or with laces. Flip flops/thongs and tennis/athletic shoes are not acceptable.
Not Acceptable for men or women:
- Jeans, T-shirts, mini-skirts, short dresses and sandals are not acceptable.
Casual Attire: For informal events such as the baseball game and site seeing.
Feel free to wear comfortable and cool clothing. Jeans, T-shirts, shorts, sandals are frequently worn in the United States. Weather in Omaha in August ranges from an evening low of 64* to a daytime high of 85* degrees Fahrenheit so, please dress accordingly for outdoor events.
