SSUHSI-Physical Therapy Doctorate Program

General Overview of Program

The Physical Therapy Doctorate Program under the SSUHSI is a specialized track within the UNMC School of Allied Health Professions’ Division of Physical Therapy Education. This program is designed for individuals who have already attained specific graduate/professional degrees or credentials other than the DPT degree but wish to complete the DPT program and assume faculty roles in physical therapist education programs in China. Candidates will be dually enrolled in the professional Doctor of Physical Therapy program and in the Graduate College to pursue a Master’s degree. This DPT/MS program is designed to prepare individuals clinically and academically for faculty roles in physical therapy education. This program consists minimally of a 4-year course of study. Prospective applicants to this program are expected to secure funding to cover the full cost of the program (4 year’s tuition & fees, books, room & board, etc.) before beginning. The SSUHSI-Physical Therapy Doctorate Program accepts up to two (2) highly qualified applicants in any one year.
