BHECN was created by the Nebraska legislature and is located at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. It is a collaborative effort between all University of Nebraska campuses, Creighton University, and other academic partners, consumers and family members, community agencies, law enforcement, hospitals, and governmental entities.
Development of BHECN will be enhanced by having an Executive Committee review plans and help develop priorities. Their comments will be especially important in the early stages of development of the Center. The Executive Committee will meet for two years at which time the membership and function of the committee will be reviewed.
The purpose of the BHECN Executive Committee will be to provide advice, guidance, and support for the continuing development of high quality programs and best practices at BHECN. The committee's role will be to provide guidance to BHECN in fulfilling its mission.
