Program Goal
To provide a practical course on the diagnosis and treatment of adolescent depression for health care practitioners providing front line care to patients.
Module Objectives
• Describe the hallmark signs and symptoms of adolescent depression
• Identify the best practice guidelines for antidepressant use in adolescent depression
• Recognize key risk factors associated with adolescent suicide
• Evaluate the role of cognitive behavioral therapy in the treatment of adolescent depression
