There are many opportunities for undergraduates to perform research during the summer at UNMC. The Summer Research Programs are generally 10 weeks in duration starting in the first or second week of June. Successful applicants will spend the summer working in a research laboratory in either a basic science or clinical department. Students are supported by stipends to cover living expenses. See individual programs for current stipend levels. The programs provide assistance in obtaining suitable housing.
This program also offers students research opportunities throughout the basic science and clinical laboratories associated with the College of Medicine. The program is for students interested in the M.D./Ph.D. combined degree program.
