EMS and Trauma Program

The UNMC Center for Continuing Education is a recognized American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center.  Our educational activities are taught by expert field providers and clinicians using advanced simulation equipment.  We offer classes regularly in:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• AHA Instructor Course

We also offer skills sessions for students who complete AHA eLearning courses.

CUSTOMIZED CLASSES AVAILABLE
Save time and money by having all employees of your department or all members of your organization trained all at once.  We accept requests for special classes for groups of at least six. 

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose.  Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association.  Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the Association.
