Since 1992, the UNMC Center for Continuing Education has offered Outreach Professional Education Services to meet the continuing educational needs of community-based physicians and other health care professionals. Our goal is to ensure that these providers have access to the educational resources necessary to provide their patients with state-of-the-art health care.
LIVE/TELEHEALTH ACTIVITIES
We offer free live/telehealth activities utilizing the Nebraska Telehealth Network to connect to Nebraska hospitals and county health departments. Usually scheduled on a Monday (from 12:15-1:15 pm CT), each live/telehealth activity may also be viewed via live video stream. Participants may print out CME certificate by following these steps.
ONLINE ACTIVITIES
For the busy health care professional who is not able to join the live/telehealth activity, you may access the archived video presentation one week after each event. Each activity is approximately one hour in length and is available for CME credit at no charge.
LOCAL COMMUNITY/ON-SITE ACTIVITIES
We collaborate with rural hospitals, physician groups and other providers in planning special CME courses that are held in community hospitals and other locations throughout Nebraska and Western Iowa. These special on-site courses are presented by UNMC faculty who travel from Omaha to community locations.
