The United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) is a three part exam which tests a physician's ability to apply basic science concepts to patient care and demonstrate appropriate clinical skills.
Medical students take Step 1 during medical school and is a requirement for graduation. Students must register for Step 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK) and Clinical Skills (CS) at least one month prior to graduation.
