Instead of practicing on people, students get to practice their skills on high performing patient simulators. The mannequins can breathe, react to treatments and even give birth. Students and residents can build their confidence in a variety of procedures before seeing real patients.
In addition, one area of the simulation lab will soon be transformed into a surgical suite. Designed like a real operating room, students and residents will be able to practice common procedures. The goal is enhance their skill set. And provide better patient care.
