UNMC invests in its faculty and their professional development. Departments encourage colleagues to attend seminars, programs and conferences.
Additional opportunities include programs through the Association of American Medical Colleges:
- The Early Career Women Faculty Professional Development Seminar, a three-and-a-half-day program designed for women at the assistant professor or instructor level.
- The Mid-Career Faculty Professional Development Program targeted to women at the associate professor or full professor level.
- The Minority Faculty Career Development Seminar , a three day seminar designed for junior faculty.
Faculty also are encourged to apply to the all-year Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) Program.
