Fees and Expenses

Expenses of medical students include "educational expenses" and "living expenses". In 2008-2009 a Nebraska resident enrolled in medicine will pay $20,742 in tuition, $2093 in fees, and approximately $1200 for equipment and books the first year. Fees and books/equipment costs will vary from year to year. "Living expenses" are an additional cost of being a student and are currently at $1600 per month.

Tuition, fees, and deposits are subject to change without notice. Additional laboratory fees may be established.

Tuition Refunds
A student who withdraws from the University during a term for which he/she is registered is entitled to claim a refund of tuition. The University's current policy for a refund of tuition is: First week 100%, Second week 75%, Third week 50%, Fourth week 25%, Fifth week None.
