It features a medical catalog, journals and resources that can be searched from on or off campus. Medical librarians can assist students, health care professionals and patients with valuable health articles and information.
Weddings, receptions, conferences and causal events can take place in the public areas of the Sorrell Center. From the Truhlsen Campus Events Center ballroom to the Linder Reading Room, student commons area and outdoor student plaza, there are a variety of spaces that can fit your event.
Designed like a hospital suite, the Clinical Simulation Laboratory (CSL) is the place where students hone their new skills. It features rooms with life-like patient simulators, 16 exam rooms and a 32-seat classroom. It is used by all colleges across the UNMC campus.
Distance learning classrooms enable students and health care professionals from across Nebraska and around the world to take classes at UNMC. There are three distance learning rooms in the Sorrell building.
The Nebraska Medical Center, UNMC Physicians and the Omaha Veterans Affairs Medical Center offer students the opportunity to learn and work in inpatient and outpatient departments.
