Concentration Areas
Students select one of the following areas of concentration:

- Community Oriented Primary Health
- Environmental and Occupational Health
- Epidemiology
- Health Policy
- Health Promotion
- Maternal and Child Health
- Public Health Administration
- Public Health Practice
- Social Marketing and Health Communication
Courses
A total of 45 credit hours is required for the MPH degree. All students take the following core courses (21 credit hours):
- Foundations in Public Health
- Health Behavior
- Health Services Administration
- Public Health, Environment, and Society
- Epidemiology
- Applied Research in Public Health
- Biostatistics
The remaining MPH requirements include:
- Four concentration courses (12 credit hours)
- Service Learning/Capstone Experience (six credit hours)
- Two electives (six credit hours)
