The impact of cuts in the UNL budget resulted in a significant reduction in the budget of the Nebraska Alumni Association, forcing the discontinuation of funding and staff support for its constituent alumni groups. The College of Dentistry's operating capital was a small portion of your Nebraska Alulmni Association membership dues that were allocated to us each year. The College of Dentistry Alumni Association will no longer receive funds from Nebraska Alumni Association membership dues or any other financial support from the Nebraska Alumni Association.
- Your College of Dentistry Alumni Association is committed to continuing as an unfunded by official UNL Alumni Interest Group as provided in the bylaws. Dean Reinhardt is extending the college's commitment to continue providing financial and administrative support as in the past.
- You are invited to be a Charter Contributing Member of our new beginning. A separate College of Dentistry Alumni Association Fund has been set up through the NU Foundation. One hundred percent of your membership contribution for the College of Dentistry Alumni Association will be used for the benefit and support of our college and programs.
Your membership contribution is tax-deductible.
If you are interested in continuing membership in the Nebraska Alumni Association, you will need to pay separate dues to the Nebraska Alumni Association, and unlike in the past, there will be no revenue sharing with the College of Dentistry Alumni Association. Nebraska Alumni Association dues will support Nebraska association activities only.
