Course Description:

This course is intended for practitioners who would like to provide a wider range of restorative procedures for their pediatric patients and enhance their oral care as well as improve the decision making process. This course will cover popular trends in restorative concepts for pediatric dentistry and provide up-to-date and practical information of clinical pediatric restorative dentistry. The course includes hypothetical clinical scenarios. At the completion of this course, participants will be able to: Apply the dental caries risk assessment for restorative options. Formulate a treatment plan using the caries-risk assessment tool. Assess children and manage their anxiety. Understand the pediatric dentistry guidelines and standards of care. Understand the characteristics of current adhesive and restorative materials. Select these materials according to these characteristics and their various clinical applications. Understand the different restorative techniques. Understand the limitations of different materials, where and why they work and where they don’t. Explain reasons for failure and replacement of dental restorations. Explain the keys to successful pediatric restorative dentistry
