The UNMC College of Dentistry 2013 Alumni Homecoming Reunion will be held on Friday and Saturday, October 4-5, 2013. The activities include the following:

Friday, October 4:

Continuing Education – Embassy Suites Hotel (a.m.)
Speaker for Continuing Education: Dr. Michael Sesemann

Luncheon – Embassy Suites Hotel
Guest speaker is Shawn Eichorst, the new Husker Athletic Director

Student-guided tours at the college (p.m.)

Cocktail Hour, Banquet and Awards & Recognition – Embassy Suites Hotel (beginning at 5:00 p.m.)

Saturday, October 5:

Pregame Festivities and Tours of the College – 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Football game: Nebraska vs. Illinois (TBA)

Dental Museum will be open the week of Homecoming

Hotel Accommodations: A block of hotel rooms has been reserved for the College of Dentistry alumni on a first-come, first-served basis at the Embassy Suites, 10th & P Streets, Lincoln, NE, Phone: (402) 474-1111. Rooms in this block are limited to a maximum of two rooms per registration. Please indicate that you are with the UNMC Dentistry Alumni when you are making your reservations. 

Greetings from your College of Dentistry Alumni Association officers and board members! I'm excited to report to you that our association is strong, viable, and continues to be an active partner in fostering the excellence for which our alma mater has long been known.

As many of you are aware, nearly five years ago we embarked on a new chapter in our history when we became a separate and distinct alumni organization. It's my pleasure to share with you a few highlights of how we're doing "on our own."

• Our homecoming and other alumni gatherings continue to be well-attended and supported.
• Our newsletter, Cornhusker Impressions, is second to none in quality and is widely read and appreciated by our alumni.
• Fundraising and contributions are stronger than ever. Your generosity allows us to support so many activities and projects that benefit our entire COD family.

These are exciting times for our college of dentistry. Those of you who have been to 40th and Holdrege recently know that our physical plant is changing both inside and out. The one thing that never changes, however, is the outstanding quality of students, faculty, staff and alumni that make our school one of the nation's best. Be proud. Be involved.
