The section of operative dentistry has a three-fold mission of quality patient care, including caries management, education of dental students in the complete spectrum of current, proven restorative techniques for single teeth, and applied research, to enable faculty to keep abreast of new developments in the field. The section includes four faculty with graduate training in operative dentistry and two with graduate training in dental materials.
