Priority Care

 

Priority Care includes two divisions, Patient Centered Comprehensive Care and Dental Emergency Services.

 

Priority Care Director: Dr. Joan Sivers.

 

Patient Centered Comprehensive Care

 

Faculty: Dr. Yosh Ameku, Dr. Mary Lynn Froeschle , Dr. Jim Jenkins, Dr. Ernie Sigler

 

The above named faculty members serve as Patient Care Advocates.  The Advocates work primarily with D3 and D4 students to assign optimum numbers of clinical patient experiences to meet discipline-specific competency exams and to ensure a broad range of dental clinical experiences.  The Advocates, along with Patient Care Coordinators and Appointment Clerks, help students to manage their patients’ needs through weekly seminars, case presentations, treatment planning conferences, clinical experiences in the Assessment and Treatment Planning Clinic, and overall record management.

 

Dental Emergency Services Faculty

 

Faculty: Dr. Thomas Heuke, Dr. Myhanh Phan-Rinne

 

These faculty supervise D4 students in their rotation experiences in the Dental Emergency Clinic and also supervise Dental Hygiene students in their assessment of new and continuing care patients.  They also provide care for select dental patients of the College.
