Oral Biology: Biomonitoring Service - MSIA Graduate Program - Nebraska Center for Cellular Signaling - Departmental Faculty

 

This service is available to dentists and other health care professionals to assure that their equipment is operating properly to sterilize instruments and other supplies. What is BioMonitoring?

 

The use of biological spore tests as a method of sterilizer monitoring to assure that office equipment is operating properly to sterilize your instruments.

 

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Dental Association (ADA) recommend that each sterilizing unit be tested at least weekly.

Control Spore Strip A control spore strip is included with each test spore strip to increase the accuracy of the test result. Gram-staining and Microscopic Examination of Positive Test This confirms that the positive test result is that of the test bacteria and not some contaminant. Phone Notification of Positive Test Result We will phone you immediately if your sterilizer failed the test. Consultation in Case of Sterilizer Failure We will consult with you to determine the reason for failure. Experienced Personnel This service is supervised by personnel with over twenty years of experience in BioMonitoring of sterilizers. A Low Cost Affordable Service We always strive to be as cost effective as possible and pass along savings to our subscribers. All Mailings are Postage Free to Subscribers A year's supply of prepaid mailers and testing kits will be sent upon receipt of your check. A monitoring log will be provided quarterly for documentation that you are performing testing. Certificate of Participation Suitable for Office Display Provided A new certificate is issued at time of subscription renewal.
