Postgraduate Committee

Each student will have an Advisory Committee consisting of at least two faculty members. One member will be the program director and one additional advisor may be chosen from the faculty. Members of the Committee must have an academic appointment of 0.5 F.T.E. or greater. This committee should be selected by October 15 of the first year in training and submitted to the PEC.

The Advisory Committee has the responsibility for guiding the postgraduate program of the student, informing the PEC of student progress and recommending to the PEC whether or not the student has fulfilled all the departmental requirements and is ready to receive a Certificate of Specialization. Students should check with specific clinical departments for a listing of their requirements for the Certificate of Specialization.

A report from the Advisory Committee must be filed at the completion of each academic session with the PEC. Grades will not be recorded for a student until the Advisory Committee report is received.
