Program Requirements

Each student will successfully complete a program of study and additional requirements outlined by the individual program director and approved by the College of Dentistry Postgraduate Education Committee. Upon successful completion of all phases of the program and the recommendation of the program director, the Postgraduate Education Committee will certify the awarding of a Certificate of Specialization.

The program of study for each postgraduate program is determined by the respective departments in accordance with the Commission on Dental Accreditation standards and in accordance with the College of Dentistry Postgraduate Education Committee (PEC) and recommendation of the individual Program Director.

Each program requires successful completion of all phases of the outlined program within a time designated by the PEC.

Students within the postgraduate program may be simultaneously pursuing an advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) within the Graduate College. The criteria for completion of the programs are independent. Successful completion of one set of criteria does not ensure the attainment of the other.
