Postgraduate
programs at the College of Dentistry lead to attainment of the Certificate
of Specialization in Endodontics, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Periodontics,
and General Practice (GPR).
Postgraduate programs at the College of Dentistry are open to graduates of American Dental Association accredited D.D.S. and D.M.D. programs in the United States or equivalent programs in foreign countries. Candidates for a dental degree may be provisionally accepted into postgraduate programs pending the awarding of their dental degree. In order to be accepted into programs in Pediatric Dentistry, General Dentistry, or General Practice students must be able to obtain a Nebraska dental license. Admissions to pursue postgraduate work are limited to the number that can be handled to the advantage of the students and the College. Preference will be given to those who have adequate preparation and aptitude for their chosen program. All programs start in July of each year.
This application is for individuals applying to a training program leading to the attainment of a Certificate only. Graduate application packets are available upon request. Complete Application for Postgraduate Training consists of:
A curriculum vitae and a personal
statement or biographical sketch which relays information that you feel
is important to your application (awards, honors, advanced experience,
research, career plans, professional interests, etc.) You should include
explanation for choice of field, expectations for learning in your chosen
field of study, and anticipated career goals in this personal statement.
Also include information about your background and current interests.

The Graduate Record Examination is given five times each year at Examination Centers located in each of the principal countries of the world. Students who reside in the United States, South America, Central America, Europe, Asia, or Eastern Canada should write

If you have taken this examination under a name different than that used on this application, please advise us so that we can match your scores on your application. If your official transcript or mark sheets of college level work are in a language other than English a certified English translation must be included. Transcripts should carry the
signature of a responsible official of the school in which the work was
done and the seal of that institution, or should be certified true copies
of the original records. If photocopies are provided, the copies must
be certified after duplication as true copies of the original document.
If you have previously enrolled in a United States Institution, the letters of recommendation should come from faculty members of that institution and should mention your English proficiency. All information should be forwarded to:
