UNMC is a national leader in clinical and translational research in areas such as cancer, transplantation, biopreparedness and neurosciences. Now, campus leaders are working to extend that success.

The focus is part of a national movement to create a stronger health care system by transforming clinical and translational research at academic health centers across the country.

Doing so will enable researchers to develop, test and provide new treatments more efficiently and quickly to patients.

UNMC is strategically evaluating how best to enhance its clinical and translational research to boost communication between basic and clinical researchers, increase collaborations among experts in different fields, better transfer information and speed new discoveries into practice to improve health.
