ARI Application Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have completed one year of college by the time they would participate in the program. All selected candidates must be enrolled in either the Supervised Research in Biology (Biology 4050) or Biotech Internship (Biology 4550) taught by Dr. Tapprich at the University of Nebraska at Omaha campus. This requirement includes students from all other Universities and Colleges; you must enroll in one of the two above listed courses. If you are a medical student (M1 or M2)  and are interested in being part of this program, please contact the program coordinator for information regarding enrollment.

1. Complete Application, apply now

2. Submit a one-page essay including:

1. Your long-range career goals
2. How you believe a research experience will assist you in your career

3. Any prior research experience you have had

3. Your expectations of the Academic Research Internship

4. Submit a transcript from the college(s)/university(s) you have attended (this can be an unofficial copy); this copy must contain your legal name.

5. Submit a resume including education, experience, and extracurricular activities.

6. Submit at least one letter of reference from a faculty member at the institution you are currently attending. Additional letters will be accepted from previous references.
