Emergency Medicine Interest Group (EMIG)

Mission:

  • To introduce and spark interest in Emergency Medicine for UNMC medical students.

  • To form a mutual support group for UNMC students who are interested in emergency medicine as their career choice.

  • To provide mentorship for students on the road of applying to residency.

  • To disseminate information about the field of Emergency Medicine.

  • To facilitate learning opportunities and clinical skills in Emergency Medicine.

EMIG was officially recognized in the fall of 2003 by President John Keebler, Vice President Will Curry, and Secretary/Treasurer Marie Krig, Webmaster Joshua Priluck. As of the '04-'05 academic year, all medical students interested in emergency medicine may join. EMIG holds approximately 4 meetings per semester including a hands-on workshop. EMIG also offers ER shadowing opportunities year round for all members. If you are interested or have any questions you may contact Brian Kitamura
