The Center for Clinical Excellence, which houses the new Emergency Department
opened November 10, 2005. This facility consolidates the Emergency services that
were previously operating on the north and south campuses of the Nebraska Medical Center.
The new Emergency Department has 41 total beds with 8 of these beds being 24
hour Observational beds within the ED. Each patient room has a computer
for Physician access to pertinent patient records.
