Resident Research Forum

The Resident Research Forum was held at the Durham Research Center I, on Saturday, October 6, 2012. The event was attended by our faculty, residents and three judges: M. Patricia Leuschen, Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Richard Hallworth, Ph.D., and Salvatore Zieno, M.D.

The residents gave a twenty 20-minute oral presentation followed by a question and answer period on their research projects during the year.

The invited judges selected the winners of the resident research forum. The first place prize of a $500 gift certificate to be used for the purchase of educational books was awarded to Dr. Matthew Johnson. Second places prize of $300 was awarded to Dr. Blake Hyde. Donations to the resident Alumni Give Back Fund Foundation accounts were used to fund these awards.
